Welcome back to What’s For Tea 🙂 Tonight for tea I made a stew in the slow cooker 🙂 I’d never heard of poor man’s stew until one of you recommended it! So glad I got to try this…so easy and absolutely delish! Serve this with warm crusty bread for a very comforting and simple family meal.

What I used (serves 4-5) I have a 3.5 litre Crockpot
1 lb. Minced beef – Browned off
1.5 lbs Potatoes – Cut into large chunks
3 Carrots – Sliced
1 Onion – Diced or sliced
Handful of swede – Diced
1 Garlic clove – minced
4 Tablespoons tomato puree or tomato paste
475ml (2 cups) water
1 Teaspoon salt
¼ Teaspoon pepper
1 Teaspoon onion powder
1 Teaspoon dried oregano or similar herb 🙂
**Serve with some nice crusty bread and enjoy!**
