250 gms. Fish, boneless batons
1 tbsp. Red Chilli powder
1 tbsp. Asafoetida
1 tbsp. Carom seeds, crushed
1 tbsp. Ginger & garlic paste
3 tbsp. Gram flour
1 tbsp. Refined flour
1 tbsp. Corn flour
1 tsp. Turmeric powder
1 tsp. Chaat masala
1 Lemon juice
Salt, as required
2-3 tbsp. Water

For the Onion Chutney:-
½ cup coriander leaves
1 Green chilli
2 whole lemons, juiced
1 tbsp. Chaat masala
½ tsp. Salt
1 cup Onions, diced

– Grind the onion chutney ingredients in a mixer grinder to a coarse paste. Transfer the chutney to a bowl and refrigerate until served.
– In a bowl add gram flour, corn flour, refined flour, chaat masala, asafoetida, ginger-garlic paste, carom seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and mix well.
– Now add water and make a thick batter.
– Once the batter is lump free add the fish pieces and stir gently.
– Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish in it on a medium flame until crisp and golden brown in colour.
– Serve with onion chutney.

Amritsari Fish is ready to eat.
