Sangria is a typical beverage from Spain and Portugal. It consists of wine, chopped fruits, a sweetener and a small amount of added brandy. However, the beauty of Sangria is that it just gets better when you bring about your own distinct variations. Food blogger Tarika Singh brings you her classic version of this popular Spanish drink.
Ingredients:
Bottle of Red Wine 750ml
1 peach chopped
1 apple chopped
Cointreau 1 shot
Icing Sugar 3-4 tbsp
Club soda 1 bottle (300-600 ml)
Method:
– In a bowl, add the chilled red wine, the chopped fruits, a shot of cointreau and the icing sugar and give it a slight stir.
– Add the chilled club soda to the wine.
– The chilled Sangria is ready to be served.
