How to Remove Turmeric Stains From Appliances.
After filming my latest khao soi video, I ended up with heavily turmeric-stained mortar and pestle from pounding the curry paste. After handwashing with dish soap and a scrub pad, the stains were still bright yellow as you can see in the video. Thankfully there is an easy way to fade the stain.
Unfortunately if you’ve stained your countertop or other immovable surfaces…you’re kind of screwed lol. (Maybe a UV lamp will work?) This is why when working with turmeric I am VERY careful with my white countertop, and I’ll line it with a towel if I think a drip/splash/spill might occur. But if you do end up with turmeric splatters on the counter, clean it as soon as possible before it has time to sink in.
