2 cups Northern beans
1 onion
1 bell pepper
1 T. minced garlic
1 t. Salt
1 t. Pepper
1 t. cumin
1 quart plus 1 cup water
2 Ham hocks
manual pressure cook, high,
40 minutes, natural release

small batch cornbread
1/4 cup plus 1 T. cornmeal
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 t. baking powder
1/4 t. Salt
1 T. sugar opt.
3 T. melted butter divided
1 egg
1/4 cup milk or buttermilk
400 degrees, 20 minutes
6 ” skillet
