Welcome back to What’s For Tea 🙂 Tonight for tea I made this amazing butter chicken! I’ve been asked to do this quite a lot over the past few years…so I thought I’d give it a go! And to make it even simpler, used the slow cooker! This was seriously tasty and definitely one I’ll be making again.

What I used – Serves 4-5
• 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
• 2 Tablespoons butter
• 1 Onion – finely chopped
• 4 Garlic cloves – finely crushed
• 2 Tablespoons tomato puree – or tomato paste
• 750ml (25 fl oz) Creamed coconut – or coconut milk if you prefer a thinner sauce
• 50ml (1.6 fl oz) Water
• 2-3 Chicken Breasts – Cubed into bite size pieces
Sauce spices –
• 1 Teaspoon cumin
• 1 Teaspoon ground ginger
• 2 Teaspoon garam masala
• 1 Teaspoon ground coriander
• 1 Teaspoon ground cardamom
• ½ Teaspoon paprika
• 1 Teaspoon ground turmeric
• Salt & Pepper to taste
*Optional coriander (cilantro) to serve*
**I served ours with basmati rice, but also lovely with pasta, fries or simply some chapattis or nan bread**
