TOP 4 SOUPS YOU MUST HAVE IN 2021! | IMMUNITY BUILDER

Soups prepared the right way pack a lot of nutrition. I’m going to show you my top favorite soup recipes Spinach, Corn, Mushroom and Broccoli. What’s unique about each recipe is I managed to pack in 4 to 5 vegetables in each recipe. They are so simple and you can alter these soups into your own style and your taste.

Soup #4 – Sweet Corn Soup

Why Sweet Corn Soup?

It is very delicious. It’s a really filling soup as well. So a lot of times if you don’t want to eat a big meal at night, this is a great way to have a soup and still have it enough to fill you up. Plus, corn and vegetables make the soup nutritious.

Ingredients:

Corn, 4 Colours of Vegetables, Salt, Pepper, Butter, Eggs (optional)

Recipe:

Step #1 – Boil these vegetables all together for about five minutes. Remember I don’t want it to be all boiled up I want it to be a little bit crunchy.
Step #2 – Grind some of the corn that I have steamed and the reason I do this is because I want this soup to be nice and thick and creamy.
Step #3 – Add this mixture to my vegetables that are boiling. Also, add ground corn, this thickens the soup. You can also add a teaspoon of cornstarch if you want to thicken it some more. Simply blend it with some water and add it slowly to the boiling mixture.
Step #4 – Add salt to taste and ground black pepper. You can also put a pinch of sugar, not a lot, just a pinch. Wait for this to boil. The soup is ready.
Step #5 – Add butter to the soup and stir it.
Step #6 (optional) – Add a couple of eggs to the soup slowly.

Note: If you’re a vegetarian, you can skip this step.
Reason for adding eggs:
1. I make my best effort to up my family’s protein intake so the egg is one of the best forms of protein.
2. When you mix this egg, it gives a really nice marbleized pattern. So when the egg comes in contact with the boiling soup, it cooks and the quicker you stir the finer the threads.

Soup #3 – Mushroom Soup

Why Mushroom Soup?

It is because of its super nutrition and its taste. It is delicious and my family loves it.

Ingredients:

Mushrooms, One potato, Garlic, Onion, Milk, Butter, Salt, Pepper

Recipe:

Step #1 – Boil all the vegetables in a pan.
Step #2 – Blend the vegetables. You can also use a soup blender or a normal Blender. When ready put it back on the gas for a small boil.
Step #3 – Add a good amount of butter or Ghee and salt and pepper to taste.
Step #4 – Add milk to the soup to make it creamy and bring the soup to a boil.

The soup is ready to eat and my family can’t wait to have it.

Soup #2 – Spinach Soup

Why Spinach Soup?

Spinach is high in iron. It also has a very high amount of vitamin A and beta carotene which is good for eye health.

Ingredients:

Spinach, Carrots, Onions, Garlic, Salt, Pepper, Butter.

Recipe:

Step #1 – Put vegetables in a pan and add a good amount of water and put it to a boil.
Step #2 – Grind these vegetables into a Puree.
Note: I will use the stock from the vegetables later as most of the vitamins leach out into the water when you boil it.
Step #3 – Add this Puree to the vegetable stock and bring it to a small boil again.
Note: Do not overcook the vegetables which will give the soup a brown colour, we want the colour to be green.
Step #4 – Add Salt and ground pepper to taste. Now add a nice amount of butter or ghee. Boil the soup.

Your healthy soup is now ready!

Soup #1 – Broccoli Soup

Why Broccoli Soup?

One reason I make Broccoli soup is because I find it difficult to feed broccoli to my kids. But when you make a soup it’s easier to drink it up. This soup is not only nutritious but contrary to popular belief it is tasty as well.

I also use Coconut milk in the soup which gives you all the good qualities of coconut like good fats but also it makes the soup thick and creamy.

Ingredients:

Broccoli, Carrot, Onion, Garlic, Coconut Milk, Salt, Pepper

Recipe:

Step #1 – Take all of the vegetables in a pan and add some water.
Step #2 – Add salt to taste and ground pepper.
Step #3 – Grind the vegetables in a soup blender or a regular mixer.
Step #4 – Mix the vegetables in the vegetable stock water. Put it on the stove to boil.
Step #5 – Add coconut milk to the vegetables to make the soup thick and creamy. Bring it to a boil.

The soup is ready to eat!
