β’ INGREDIENTS ~
1LB SHOULDER LAMB/ NECK (NOT LEG MUST BE FATTY) – CUBED
1 WHOLE GARLIC BULB (DO NOT TAKE SKIN OFF, LEAVE WHOLE)
1 TSP CUMIN
1 TSP GARAMASALA
3 SPRIGS FRESH ROSEMARY
1 ONION
1/2 PINT GRAVY – BEEF OR ONION GRANULES
3RD OF A SMALL BOTTLE OF RED WINE
1 PACK PROCESSED CHEESE SLICES
SMOKED BACON
~ SET SLOW COOKER TO HIGH
~ MAKE GRAVY. ADD SPICES AND WINE TO GRAVY, THEN ADD TO SLOW COOKER.
~ ADD CHOPPED ONION, LAMB AND ROSEMARY
~ WHEN GRAVY STARTS TO BUBBLE IN SLOW COOKER ADD WHOLE GARLIC
~ REMOVE GARLIC AFTER 3 HOURS THEN COOK FOR A FURTHER HOUR
~ LIFT OUT POT AND LEAVE TO COOL
~ ONCE IT’S COOL, REMOVE 3/4 OF FAT THAT RISES TO THE TOP.
~ PUT MEAT IN CASSEROLE DISH, TOP WITH CHEESE SLICES, THEN TOP WITH BACON, COVERING LEAN SIDE OF BACON WITH THE NEXT SLICES FATTY SIDE
~ COOK FOR 30MINS IN OVEN AT 180
