酱油鸡 Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken ( Perfected Recipe )

Popular in Chinese deli. Lot of Asian bought this cooking and have the chef, chopped those on the spot. Bring home order. Now you can make this at your own kitchen. No need to use whole chicken that takes lot of work & left over, just use chicken quarters and save money too.

2 pcs —— chicken quarters
4 cups —- water
1 Tbsp —- chicken bouillon
3/4 cup — Light soy sauce
1/2 cup — each, dark soy sauce, rice wine, brown sugar
3 Tbsp —- sesame oil
1 bulb —– garlic (smacked only)
3 oz ——– ginger (about 4 thumb size, sliced)
3 pcs —— star anise
1 pc ——– cinnamon bark
2 pcs —— dried tangerine peels
1 tsp ——- five spice seasoning
NOTE: save used sauce for next batch of cooking with chicken or pork.
