Frozen to Cooked Chicken Breast | Instant Pot Recipe
4 frozen, boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 ¼ C chicken broth, unsalted (or water)
1 ½ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
I used an 8-quart instant pot. You can use 1 C of liquid for a smaller pot.
Place the frozen chicken and broth in the instant pot. Season with salt and pepper. Close the lid. Turn the seal/release knob to “sealing”. Set the pressure cook to high pressure for 12 minutes. When the timer has gone off, let the instant pot natural release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes of natural release, turn your seal/release vale to “venting”. Once all the steam has been released and the float valve pin has dropped completely, it is safe to open the lid. I always take the chicken out and let it rest for 5 minutes before using it. This is great for making chicken salad, quick bbq chicken or pulled chicken. Enjoy!
Note: For this recipe I kept the seasoning simple. I plan on using the chicken in a few different preparations.
