Two Easy New Year’s Eve Appetizers / Plant Based / Gluten Free

Happy New Year! Today I show you two easy appetizers that are plant based and gluten free for your New Year’s Eve get together. I will be showing you super easy pizza rolls and crispy carrot sticks with a delicious hummus dip. Here is what you will need for these two recipes:
PIZZA ROLLS
Ingredients:
1 gluten free puff pastry
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1 cup marinara sauce
1/4 to 1/2 cup follow your heart mozzarella
plant milk (optional)
Instructions:
Defrost Puff pastry according to package directions. Unroll one sheet and add a generous amount of marinara sauce, next add olives and sprinkle with cheese. Roll puff pastry into a log and slice into 1″ slices and place cut side up on a lined baking sheet. Brush with a little plant milk so they won’t dry out.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or until golden. You can dip these in any left over marinara sauce you have or they are delicious as is.
CRISPY CARROTS WITH HUMMUS DIP
Ingredients:
2 large carrots washed and peeled and cut into sticks
flour in a bowl
plant milk in a bowl
gluten free bread crumbs in a bowl
dip each carrot stick into the flour, then the milk then the bread crumbs then place onto a lined baking sheet. Once you are done breading all the carrots bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Meanwhile make the dip:
Ingredients:
4 T oil free hummus
1T mustard of your choice
1 T maple syrup
juice of 1/2 a lemon
Instructions:
place all ingredients into a glass jar and shake well until fully combined. If you want a thinner dip then add a little water to the dip.
Once carrots are done place on a platter with the dip.
