Afghan Qatlama – Afghan Cookies – Qatlama Mazari – Afghan Dessert Recipe

In this video i will show you how to make Afghan style sweet called QATLAMA. It is a very easy and yummy dessert to make for your family or if you have guests coming to visit. It is little crispy but after one day or so it will become softer if left at room temperature. My mum always tells me the story when she first time tried this recipe 30 years ago when one of our Mazari neighbour used to make this recipe and send it to my grandmother house.

Note: Make sure you fry the cookies on low flame, otherwise it will not cook fully in the middle. You can cover it and keep it at room temperature for up to one week. The cookies becomes more softer after the next day.
