This is THE BEST Colorado green chili recipe! We use Hatch green chiles and ground pork. You can smother breakfast or dinner burritos, cover a grilled steak, or eat it plain. It’s that good! And it’s SO EASY! My grandma died before I was born, and this was her recipe. Colorado through and through. Go Broncos!
Ingredients
1 lb ground or cubed pork. (ground is better)
I clove minced garlic
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup Anaheim (Hatch) green chiles roasted ( fresh, frozen, canned. Roast and peel them yourselves. It’s fun!)
2 cans ( 20 ish ounces) southwestern style tomatoes
1 tsp cumin
salt and pepper to taste
3 cups water
