Ingredients:
3 cups basmati rice
4 cups water
2 cups matar (green peas)
1 sliced onion
1/4 cup chopped coriander
6 chopped green chilies
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp salt

Method:
1. Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30-60 minutes prior to cooking to ensure long cooked grains.
2. Turn instant pot on Sautee mode and wait for it to get hot.
3. Add 1/4 cup oil, fry cumin seeds for a minute.
4. Add onions and stir fry until translucent.
5. Add matar and crushed green chillies and coriander, stir fry for 10 minutes
6. Add water and stir well. Bring it to a boil. Add drained water and stir once.
7. Turn off instant pot, close lid, secure on ‘sealing’ and put on manual pressure for 6 minutes.
8. After it’s done, let it sit for 15-20 minutes on NPR (Natural Pressure Release) and QPR (Quick Pressure Release) the rest.
9. Open lid, and stir once. Fluff with a fork.
10. Serve hot.
